Molbio Diagnostics is India’s first ‘unicorn’ in the medical technology sector that brings to healthcare professionals worldwide the Truelab® Real-Time Quantitative micro PCR system comprising Truenat® technology that makes Real-Time PCR testing possible in all laboratories, in the field and near-patient settings. With a large and growing menu of Truenat® assays for infectious diseases, including TB, COVID-19, HIV, HCV, HBV, HPV, Influenza, etc., this rapid, portable technology enables early and accurate diagnosis and initiation of correct treatment right at the first point of contact.
The Need For PR
While Molbio's product gained considerable attention and use case during COVID-19, there was a critical need to take control of the narrative and ensure there was complete awareness about its range of capabilities. The company needed to clear misconceptions, and establish its expertise and the impact it was creating across the globe.
Indian Healthcare had caught global attention during the pandemic. However, medical devices and healthcare diagnostics was yet an unrecognised domain. Globally, before the pandemic, the focus was already on deploying cost-effective, point-of-care diagnostics that could be deployed in resource-limited settings.
Global healthcare organisations like World Health Organisation (WHO), FIND, UNAID were already deploying Truenat. Truenat had also caught interest in India, and had been deployed at Central & State levels for TB testing. However, due to lack of structured communications, many were unaware that:
Our Approach
The campaign took a multi-pronged approach to address multiple stakeholders including Government entities, Policy Makers, Private Healthcare Institutions, Public Healthcare Institutions, General public.
Each audience set was addressed uniquely, with specifically crafted storytelling and messages, channeled through various publications and social media channels, in multiple languages. Multiple campaigns were created, targeted at private institutions, government organisations and policy makers at local, national and international levels - highlighting the role Truenat played in the fight against diseases such as COVID-19 and Tuberculosis.
Result
Truenat is today the established global leader in point-of-care molecular diagnostics - at private and public health institutions. The platform has been established as a
change maker, and the company, Molbio, as the leader in driving the change across multiple levels in healthcare.
